JetBlue Airways unveils plans to layoff employees as part of restructuring efforts

23 July, 2018

JetBlue Airways plans to pursue a restructuring plan that will see it cut back on an unspecified number of jobs, as it seeks to save USD300 million in operating costs over a two year period by 2020 (UPI/Bloomberg/Forbes/New York Business Journal, 20-Jul-2018). The airline advised its flight crew numbers will be unaffected by the restructuring, which will mainly focus on its headquarters in New York as well as reorganising the company to be more streamline. JetBlue described the changes as "a meaningful step toward our corporate structural cost goal".
