Smartraveller.gov.au, via its official website, stated (16-Jul-2020) local quarantine measures in French Polynesia on arrival have been lifted, and borders will reopen to international travellers arriving by air. Strict pre-departure and registration processes must be followed to board services, including taking a coronavirus RT-PCR test 72 hours prior to departure and provide documentation of negative test results before boarding the service. Passengers will be required to produce evidence of a current travel insurance policy and to register on 'ETIS - Electronic Travel Information System', the Government's health systems, for health monitoring prior and after arrival. Passengers will be required to self administer another coronavirus test four days after arrival.
