American Airlines: US-Brazil open skies agreement to pave way for LATAM JV

American Airlines SVP Nate Gatten responded (22-May-2018) to the finalisation of the US-Brazil open skies agreement, stating: "We applaud the US Departments of State and Transportation and the Brazilian Ministry of Transport for taking this important step to enhance the US-Brazil aviation relationship". He said the agreement will pave the way for the US Department of Transportation's approval of American Airlines' proposed JV with LATAM Airlines Group.
