SBC supervisory board member Jargen Bremer confirmed a Zurich Airport base for the relaunch of Belair Airlines (Handelszeitung, 16-Jan-2018). On operating from Basel and Geneva, he said "that depends on customer demand", adding: "Since the abolition of Air Berlin capacities, there is a need for our offer... [but] we want to grow carefully in the initial phase". Mr Bremer is convinced "there are niches for us" in the Swiss market and the carrier can address competition from the Lufthansa Group and Germania.
