Wizz Air announced (19-Aug-2020) plans to expand its Vilnius base with the addition of one new A320 and the launch of the following services from Oct-2020:
- Birmingham: Three times weekly from 22-Oct-2020;
- Hamburg: Twice weekly from 22-Oct-2020;
- Stockholm Skavsta: Three times weekly from 22-Oct-2020;
- Liverpool: Twice weekly from 24-Oct-2020;
- Trondheim: Twice weekly from 24-Oct-2020.
The carrier handled almost 7.7 million passengers on Vilnius routes since 2011. Together with the new services Wizz Air will offer 24 routes to 14 countries from Vilnius, and maintain a three aircraft fleet at the base. [more - original PR]
