Wizz Air to expand St Petersburg base with second aircraft and five new services

Wizz Air announced (14-Jul-2020) plans to base a second A320 at Saint Petersburg Pulkovo Airport in Dec-2020 and launch the following five Italy services:

  • Milan Bergamo: Daily from 14-Dec-2020;
  • Venice: Three times weekly from 14-Dec-2020;
  • Bologna: Twice weekly from 17-Dec-2020;
  • Turin: Weekly from 19-Dec-2020;
  • Catania: Twice weekly from 30-Mar-2021.

The services will be performed under the seventh freedom traffic rights regime. Wizz Air handled more than 111,000 passengers at St Petersburg in 2019, an increase of 59.4% year-on-year.
