Wizz Air announced (18-Jul-2019) plans to expand Chisinau operations with the addition of a third aircraft in Dec-2019 and the following new twice weekly services and frequencies:
- New services:
- Prague: From 18-Dec-2019;
- Larnaca: From 20-Dec-2019;
- Doncaster/Sheffield: From 20-Dec-2019;
- Turin: From 21-Dec-2019;
- Additional frequencies:
- Bologna: From three to four times weekly;
- Brussels Charleroi: From twice to three times weekly;
- Dortmund: From twice to three times weekly;
- London Luton: From 10 to 12 times weekly;
- Memmingen: From twice to three times weekly;
- Rome Ciampino: From three to five times weekly;
- Verona: From twice to four times weekly;
- Vienna: From twice to three times weekly.
Wizz Air handled 432,300 passengers on Moldova routes in 2018, a 30% year-on-year increase. The new routes will add 150,000 incremental seats in 2020, resulting in an offer of one million seats. Wizz Air will operate 18 Chisinau routes to 10 countries. [more - original PR]
