WestJet introduces new ‘Platinum’ tier to ‘WestJet Rewards’

    WestJet introduced (12-Dec-2018) its new ‘WestJet Rewards’ ‘Platinum’ tier and various enhancements to its ‘Rewards’ programme. The airline will distribute milestone awards more often, effective 12-Dec-2018, and ‘WestJet Vacation’ packages will also be added to qualifying spend. Top-tier passengers will receive their first companion voucher from CAD4000 (USD2995) qualifying spend, as well as an additional voucher with every CAD2000 (USD1497) spent afterwards. From 2019, the airline plans to enhance lounge benefits and ‘WestJet Rewards’, add more priority services, introduce a comprehensive upgrade programme, improve self-serve automation features, and improve corresponding tier benefits with Delta Air Lines, subject to regulatory approval.
