Western Sydney Airport commences next stage of construction

Western Sydney Airport commenced (11-Apr-2020) major earthworks and the next phase of airport construction. The airport rolled in 200 earthmoving machines and will remove 25 million cubic metres of earth. Initial earthworks also involved realigning 1.6km of Badgerys Creek Road, which will become one of the gateways to the airport when it opens in 2026. [more - original PR]
