Western Australia reports record interstate spend and tourism in year to Mar-2019

Western Australia's Government reported (17-Jul-2019) record domestic visitation and visitor spend for the year ended Mar-2019. According to National Visitor Survey results, total interstate visitor arrivals reached 1.7 million and visitors spent a record AUD1.7 billion (USD1.2 billion). Western Australia's Tourism Minister Paul Papalia attributed the results to "the success of our Two-Year Action Plan for tourism which was launched in March 2018". [more - original PR]
