Wellington Airport CEO: New Zealand to ‘see security at the front door’ in five years

    Wellington Airport CEO Steve Sanderson reported New Zealand is most likely to “see security at the front door, probably in the next five years as well” (Stuff, 10-Jan-2020). E tū union reported New Zealand’s “regional turboprop flying is generally safe in New Zealand but there is still a risk, and the overall security of the wider network is obviously vital”. The union stated: “Screening regional passengers and cargo is inevitable but before it can happen there needs to be changes to airport and air cargo facilities”.
