Vistara reportedly plans to lease up to 10 Boeing 737 aircraft previously operated by Jet Airways in the near future, with the aim of meeting India Ministry of Civil Aviation's requirement that airlines expand their fleet before operating vacant Jet Airways slots at major airports (Financial Express/Economic Times, 30-Apr/01-May-2019). The airline is expected to induct six former Jet Airways aircraft in May-2019 and a further four aircraft in Jun-2019.
