Vistara ordered (11-Jul-2018) 13 A320neo/A321neo aircraft from Airbus and six Boeing 787-9 aircraft, with an accumulated value of USD3.1 billion. The airline also secured options for seven additional A320neo family aircraft and plans to lease a further 37 new A320neo family aircraft. The Airbus aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2019 and 2023, will be equipped with CFM International LEAP 1A engines and will be utilised to increase density on Vistara’s domestic network and facilitate the launch of international operations in 2H2018. The six Boeing aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2020 and 2021, will be equipped with General Electric GEnx-1B engines and deployed on medium and long haul international services.
