Vistara attributes net loss in FY2017/2018 to slot scarcity and excess capacity

21 November, 2018

Vistara reportedly attributed its INR4.3 billion (USD60.2 million) net loss in FY2017/2018 in part to a lack of available slots at major airports India, which limited Vistara's operations in potentially profitable domestic markets (Financial Express, 20-Nov-2018). The airline also reported its revenue was negatively impacted by excess capacity on some routes following capacity additions by IndiGo.
