VisitMalta provides interim measures to reopen tourism infrastructure in Malta

27 May, 2020

VisitMalta, via its official website, announced (May-2020) interim measures aiming to reopen tourism infrastructure in Malta (deplacementspro.com, 26-May-2020). The organisation stated the reopening of different types of tourism establishments and attractions will not take place at once but in line with the chronological sequence outlined in the National Transition Strategy. Maltese authorities have developed a series of COVID-19 health protocols which entered into force on 22-May-2020. They apply to any establishment open to the public, including hotels, restaurants, swimming pools, nautical bases, beaches and any outdoor recreational space. All establishments will be subject to regular checks, which will result in the issue of a certificate attesting that all the criteria are correctly respected.
