Virgin Australia targets equal intake of males and females for 2018 pilot cadetship programme

Virgin Australia announced (04-May-2018) a target of an equal intake of males and females for its 2018 pilot cadetship programme, ensuring improved female representation in male dominated areas of the aviation industry. Virgin Australia also launched the next round of recruitment for its 54 week pilot cadetship programme. Training is conducted at Flight Training Adelaide. At the end of their training, cadets will graduate with a commercial pilot licence and will be offered roles as certified first and second officers with Virgin Australia. For the 2019 intake, Virgin Australia is offering places for two ab-initio courses designed for those with no flying experience.
