Virgin Australia supportive of Western Sydney Airport project to ease capacity: CEO

Virgin Australia Group CEO Rob Sharp expressed support for the Western Sydney Airport (WSA) project, commenting: "Sydney Kingsford Smith is basically full from a practical perspective" (australianavaition.com, 14-Nov-2018). "All the key slots that align with overseas are largely full so we've been a big supporter of Badgerys Creek", he concluded. WSA commenced initial earthworks in late Sep-2018 marking the beginning of the construction project, as previously reported by CAPA.
