Virgin Australia submits application to IASC for capacity to Japan

Virgin Australia submitted (24-Sep-2019) an application to Australia's International Air Services Commission (IASC) for capacity to Japan, following settlement of revised air services arrangements between Australia and Japan. This proposed weekly frequency will be operated with A330-200 equipment during daytime hours to/from Tokyo Haneda Airport. Virgin Australia also sought for the following permissions for the capacity allocation:

  • Capacity will be utilised by Virgin Australia and utilised for joint services with All Nippon Airways;
  • Allocation is granted for a period of five years from the date of the determination and will be fully utilised by 29-Mar-2020. [more - original PR]
