Virgin Australia: Australia’s carriers offer a ‘ladder of different products and services’

    Virgin Australia CEO John Borghetti said while a duopoly exists in the Australian domestic, it is different from “the duopoly of the old Ansett and TAA days” in that there are “four brands, there are four airlines” which are offering different products for different market segments, providing a “ladder of different products and services” (The Deal, 18-Aug-2017). Mr Borghetti commented that he thinks Australia “is probably one of the best-served aviation markets in the world domestically”.
