Virgin Australia, via its official LinkedIn account, stated (04-Apr-2020) "A monopoly in Australian skies will be good for no one". The carrier reported a monopoly would not assist passengers, its workforce, or "the Australian economy, to which we add $11 billion a year", adding: "Even our biggest competitors need a challenger to keep them honest and innovative".
