Virgin America to offer final service on 24-Apr-2018: report

Virgin America reportedly plans to offer its final service on 24-Apr-2018, departing from San Francisco to Los Angeles and New York Newark at 21:30 local time (San Francisco Chronicle/Business Insider, 08/22-Mar-2018). As previously reported by CAPA, Alaska Airlines expects its merger with Virgin America will be 75% complete by the end of Apr-2018, by which time the carriers will have a single shopping/reservations/check-in system. Alaska Airlines said it will take more time to update branding on the Airbus fleet, but "in the meantime, we've started selling Virgin America's main cabin select seats as premium class for Airbus flights after April 24".
