Vietnam Transport Ministry revises draft decree on aviation investment

Vietnam's Ministry of Transport revised a draft decree on business conditions for potential investors in the country's aviation industry (VNA, 13-Nov-2018). The revision includes limiting foreign ownership of Vietnamese aviation companies to 34% of charter capital. The revision also reduced the proposed minimum capital requirement for airlines to VND300 billion (USD12.9 million) for carriers operating up to 10 aircraft, VND600 billion (USD25.7 million) for airlines with 11 to 30 aircraft and VND700 billion (USD30 million) for carriers with more than 30 aircraft.
