VietJet negotiating to firm up orders for 150 aircraft for delivery by 2025

VietJet Air CEO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said the airline is negotiating to firm up orders for 50 A321neo and 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for delivery between 2020 and 2025 (Reuters, 31-Oct-2018). The carrier aims to maintain an average fleet age of three years to keep fuel and maintenance costs down. The airline expects to add an average of 30 new aircraft and retire 10 p/a between 2020 and 2025.
