Vienna Airport CFO: Runway approval delays could cost 'millions' in company, taxpayer money

Vienna International Airport CFO Günther Ofner commented on appeals made to Austria's Federal Constitutional Court against Federal Administrative Court approval of construction of a third runway at Vienna Airport (APA, 11-May-2018). Mr Ofner stated the situation "proves once again" that government measures are required to streamline infrastructure procedures. A new approval process may take "many years" to finalise if the appeal is upheld or is made to the European Court of Justice, and cost "millions" in company and taxpayer money, Mr Ofner argued.
