Vanuatu Govt confirm Port Vila Bauerfield Airport's USD47m runway rehabilitation project is underway

Vanuatu Government confirmed (02-Nov-2017) China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) commenced construction on Port Vila Bauerfield Airport's USD47.7 million runway rehabilitation project. CCECC is expected to complete the project within 340 days, which will upgrade the airport to a Code E airport standards capable of handling long haul services on Boeing 787 or Airbus A330 aircraft.
