Uzbekistan Airways plans to establish a low cost subsidiary, with a possible launch date in 2018, as confirmed by deputy director general Umid Khusanov (Interfax Azerbaijan/Trend News Agency/UzDaily.uz, 28-Feb-2018). The LCC will focus on Egypt, Russia and Turkey destinations. Mr Khusanov said the carrier is working on a plan to obtain an Air Operator's Certificate.
