US President threatens to impose USD11bn in retaliatory tariffs on EU

US President Donald Trump, via his official Twitter account, announced (09-Apr-2019) plans for the US Government to place tariffs on USD11 billion of EU products following findings by the WTO concerning EU subsidies for Airbus. Mr Trump stated: "The World Trade Organization finds that the European Union subsidies to Airbus has adversely impacted the United States, which will now put Tariffs on $11 Billion of EU products!".
