US Department of Transportation (DoT) partly denied (16-Apr-2020) Spirit Airlines' request for exemption from minimum service obligations to 26 points. The DoT permits the carrier to remove Aguadilla from its service obligations and has deferred action on service obligations regarding Charlotte Amalie and Christiansted, however Spirit is ordered to resume service to Asheville, Austin, Charleston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Columbus, Greensboro, Hartford, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Latrobe, Minneapolis St Paul, Myrtle Beach, New York City, Niagara Falls, Pittsburgh, Plattsburgh, Raleigh-Durham, Richmond, Sacramento and San Francisco within seven business days of receiving financial assistance under the CARES Act.
