US DoT: Delta, Air France, KLM, Virgin commend DoT decision to tentatively approve JVA

US Department of Transportation (DoT) received (16-Aug-2019) a reply from Delta Air LinesAir FranceKLM and Virgin Atlantic Airways regarding its decision to tentatively approve and grant antritrust immunity (ATI) to the joint applicant’s proposed amended JVA. The applicants commended the DoT for its decision, noting the JVA will close the seams between Delta‘s two existing transatlantic JV’s by establishing metal neutrality between Virgin Atlantic and Air France and KLM. The applicants stated they are prepared to accept the conditions set out by the DoT, but requested a certain condition be modified to avoid any unintended revokement of the existing ATI between Delta and Korean Air. [more – original PR]
