United Airlines to invest USD200m in upgrades to Hawaii's airports

United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz plans to invest USD200 million in upgrades to Hawaii's airports through 2027 (Honolulu Star-Advertiser/Pacific Business News, 04-Sep-2018). In addition, Mr Munoz confirmed he supports the creation of a Hawaii Airport Authority to better manage infrastructure projects. He stated: "We couldn't be more supportive of a faster, better modernisation of the product (state airports) that is the image of Hawaii to the millions of tourists that come here. It couldn't be more needed. All of us that fly here constantly have seen the effects of time".
