United Airlines to introduce dynamic pricing to award services

8 April, 2019

United Airlines plans to introduce dynamic pricing to seats bought with frequent flyer miles from 15-Nov-2019 (Skift, 05-Apr-2019). The change will allow the airline to price seats based upon demand rather than tier booking. The carrier plans to cease use of its published award chart from 15-Nov-2019. United Airlines head of MileagePlus Luc Bondar noted no changes will be made to the airline's award fare model. American Airlines is reportedly the only legacy carrier to still operate with a tiered seat model in 2019.
