United Airlines SVP alliances John Gebo, speaking at the CAPA Latin America Aviation & LCCs Summit, stated (10-Sep-2018) an exact economic model for JVs, whether it is revenue based or profit based, is not that important, but he added: "We don't fly to make revenue, we fly to make profit". Mr Gebo added that in a profit or revenue based JV, "we fly to make profit together".
