United Airlines: Premium economy has potential to be ‘fantastic product’, although ‘early days’

    United Airlines chief commercial officer Andrew Nocella stated premium economy has the potential to be a “fantastic product” for the airline as well as its shareholders and customers, although “we’re at early days” (Bloomberg, 04-Oct-2018). United is “anxious to catch up” with other airlines, he said, and is currently working on achieving the best mix of economy, premium economy and business class seating for its aircraft and the different areas it operates to. “Getting that calculation correct so you can size each cabin appropriately is fundamental”, Mr Nocella said.
