UK CMA to investigate and report on Sabre's proposed acquisition of Farelogix

UK Competition & Markets Authority (CMA) announced (02-Sep-2019) plans for a group to investigate and report on the proposed acquisition of Farelogix by Sabre Corporation, as the CMA believes the acquisition may or may not result in a substantial lessening of competition within a market or markets in the UK, and also enterprises carried by Sabre ceasing to be distinct from enterprises carried by Farelogix. The group will investigate whether arrangements are in progress or being contemplated which will result in the creation of a relevant merger situation, and whether the creation of this situation will result in a substantial lessening of competition.
