29 May, 2019

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) CEO Yuri Miroshnikov said the carrier will introduce WiFi connectivity on long haul Boeing 777 services before considering the feasibility of offering WiFi on medium haul routes (avianews.com, 28-May-2019). Mr Miroshnikov added the carrier's 777 aircraft are equipped to offer WiFi access, however the carrier cannot offer the service until relevant legislative changes are made and approvals and licences are obtained. Mr Miroshnikov noted: "Now quite a difficult bureaucratic process is underway, in which some progress has been made". The carrier's fleet includes three 777-200ER aircraft, according to the CAPA Fleet Database.
