UIA considers products on demand and personalisation key for inflight shopping

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) VP commerce Sergey Fomenko said products on demand are "the future", noting the significance of personalisation in inflight entertainment and retail (TRBusiness, 24-Jun-2019). UIA partnered with Duty Free Americas and Aerohandling LLC to present a new inflight duty free selection, as previously reported by CAPA. The concept behind the cooperation is the provision of an enjoyable shopping experience to passengers. Mr Fomenko added: "Preferences clearly vary, so the pre-order concept will offer different product categories to travellers and a wider portfolio".
