Turkish Airlines expands international network

Turkish Airlines chairman İlker Aycı said the carrier is looking to expand its international network, particularly Asia routes (Anadolu Agency/Hurriyet Daily News, 03-Nov-2019). Mr Aycı said the carrier plans to resume Osaka service in Apr-2020 and received permission to launch Tokyo Haneda service. Turkish Airlines also hopes to launch Xian service, and is interested in Newark and Vancouver. Mr Aycı added the carrier will increase Los Angeles, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore frequency from seven to 11 times weekly, and Washington frequency from seven to 10 times weekly in summer 2020. The network expansion is supported by the delivery of Boeing 787 aircraft.
