TUIfly MD: We 'will not get involved in the ruinous competition in Berlin'

TUIfly MD Oliver Lackmann said the LCC "will not get involved in the ruinous competition in Berlin" and will continue to only maintain an aircraft at Berlin Tegel Airport during the winter (Tagesspiegel, 05-Mar-2019). Mr Lackmann said "The fact that easyJet is so heavily involved in Berlin shows that there is some potential in European traffic", but said other regions offer more potential for TUIfly, including the Rhine-Ruhr region.
