Travelport Rich Content and Branding merchandising platform TTV up 13% in 1Q2018

    Travelport CEO Gordon Wilson reported the company is moving to its ‘Rich Content and Branding’ merchandising platform to offer “more creative ways to sell” demanded by airlines (Skift, 10-May-2018). 260 airlines and 40 online travel agencies use the platform and accumulated USD23 billion in total transaction volume (TTV) in 1Q2018, up 13% year-on-year. Mr Wilson said “a large piece” of the increase was due to airline upsells to higher fare families, as well as from ancillary products and services.
