World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) published (Mar/Apr-2018) an economic impact study on tourism in Germany. The total contribution of travel and tourism to GDP was EUR348.1 billion, 10.7% of the country’s GDP in 2017. The contribution is forecast to rise by 2.9% in 2018 and by 1.4% p/a to EUR411 billion in 2028, which would account for 11.2% of German GDP. [more – original PR]
