5 September, 2018

Transavia CCO Erik-Jan Gelink confirmed the carrier will commence services from both Eindhoven and Rotterdam to Brindisi, Tangier and Zadar in summer 2019, adding: "We are fully committed to departing from regional airports" (Luchtvaartnieuws, 04-Sep-2018). Mr Gelink also said services to Beirut, Krakow and Nador planned for launch in winter 2018/19 will be extended to operate year round. Frequency increases are planned to Marrakech, Al Hoceima, Tangier and Nador. "There are still opportunities for growth in the region", he said, however added Transavia will only operate from Lelystad Airport "under the right conditions". Lelystad Airport is planned for opening in 2020, as previously reported by CAPA.
