Transat reports higher capacity, lower load factor in trans Atlantic market

Transat AT reported (12-Mar-2020) a 5% year-on-year increase in capacity for the sun destinations market to date, with 83% of capacity sold and load factors down 1.7%. Operating expenses are expected to decrease 0.3% due to the fluctuating Canadian dollar and lower fuel costs, provided these remain stable. To date, capacity in the trans Atlantic market is up 3%, with 34% of seats sold, load factor down 1.7% and selling prices down 5.7%.
