Tourism Western Australia to expand marketing strategy to improve Chinese visitor growth

    Tourism Western Australia announced (11-Nov-2018) plans to implement a new marketing strategy to improve Chinese visitor growth to the state. The scope of the plan includes allocation of an additional AUD1 million (USD717,627) to the China market for cooperative and tactical campaigns to build awareness of Western Australia in Shanghai. Chinese visitors to the State increased 17.2% year-on-year in FY2017/18 to 59,000, spending AUD299 million (USD214.5 million).
