Tourism Tropical North Queensland reports operational highlights for 2H2019

Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) reported (18-Dec-2019) the following operational highlights for 2H2019:

  • TTNQ, with partners Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and Cairns Regional Council, invested AUD2.8 million (USD1.9 million) in a domestic marketing campaign which started in Aug-2019 and ran until Oct-2020;
  • Internationally, TTNQ partnered with TEQ and the industry to launch campaign activities that delivered more than AUD10 million (USD6.85 million) in publicity value in China supporting Hainan Airlines services, and in Europe and India supporting SilkAir services;
  • Plans to launch marketing campaigns in New Zealand and the US to support new services across the Tasman and to develop new North Amrtican routes from Brisbane. [more - original PR]
