Tourism Research Australia reveals international visitation and spend by state for 2018/19

    Tourism Research Australia announced (09-Oct-2019) the following international visitors and spend by state for the year ended Jun-2019:

    • New South Wales: 4.4 million visitors, +1%, AUD11.3 billion (USD7.5 billion) visitor spend, +8%;
    • Victoria: 3.1 million visitors, +4%, AUD8.6 billion (USD5.7 billion) visitor spend, +7%;
    • Queensland: 2.7 million visitors, +0%, AUD6 billion (USD4 billion) visitor spend, +6%;
    • Western Australia: 973,000 visitors, +3%, AUD2.2 billion (USD1.4 billion) visitor spend, +0%;
    • South Australia: 467,000 visitors, +1%, AUD1.1 billion (USD738.7 million) visitor spend, -5%;
    • Tasmania: 300,000 visitors, -2%, AUD528 million (USD354.6 million), -5%;
    • Northern Territory: 294,000 visitors, +4%, AUD454 million (USD304 million) visitor spend, +9%;
    • Australian Capital Territory: 266,000 visitors, +7%, AUD605 million (USD406 million), -6%.
