Tourism New Zealand CEO: Chinese travel restrictions have potential for 'significant impact'

Tourism New Zealand CEO Stephen England-Hall reported restrictions of tour group and holiday packages travel from China's authorities have "the potential to have a significant impact on the NZ industry and economy" (NZ Herald, 28-Jan-2020). Approximately 40,000 Chinese passengers travelled to New Zealand in Feb-2019, and "Around 90 per cent of travellers this time last year from China would have come through a Chinese tourism bureau".
