Tourism Australia reported (Nov-2017) there were 8.5 million visitors to Australia in 2016/17, up 8.9 % year-on-year. International visitor spending totalled AUD40.6 billion (USD26.7 billion), up 7%. The number of international visitors to Australia is forecast to increase 8.2% in 2017/18, to 9.2 million.
