Tobago Airways, via its official website, announced (Jan-2018) plans to launch in 27 days, stating "something new and exciting is coming soon". CEO Raymond McMillan stated the startup is currently working through office and staffing ahead of its launch, as well as final regulatory approvals (Trinidad Guardian/cnc3/Trinidad Express, 31-Jan-2018). Tobago Airways is targeting the Tobago airbridge market with a fleet of two aircraft, noting: "The answer is simply another carrier to meet the demand left unsatisfied by CAL, providing the confidence for individuals to travel, enjoy Tobago and return to their respective destinations reliably and on time".
