Thalys to launch two new rail routes in summer 2019

Thalys announced (11-Dec-2018) plans to launch the following rail routes in 2019:

  • Amsterdam-Marne-la-Vallée service via Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Brussels and Paris CDG. Bookings open on 18-Dec-2018 for travel from 31-Mar-2019;
  • Weekly Brussels-Bordeaux service from late Jun-2019 to late Aug-2019. The route will provide a connection between the two cities in four hours.

Thalys forecast a 5% year-on-year passenger traffic increase to 7.5 million in 2018 across its rail network. "Our ambitious goal of stimulating growth in European mobility is paying off", Thalys DG Agnès Ogier said. [more - original PR - French]
