Thai Airways and Rolls-Royce to establish engine MRO centre

Thai Airways and Rolls-Royce signed (07-Jun-2018) a cooperation agreement for the establishment of an authorised engine MRO centre. The parties aim to expand on Thai's existing MRO capabilities by adding new engine types. Thai Airways operates more than 50 widebody aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce engines. Thai Airways acting president Usanee Sangsingkeo said: "Thai has the capability to expand its engine maintenance services for Rolls-Royce Trent 700 and Trent 1000 engines, which will meet the needs of the regional market, making sufficient use of the maintenance facilities and further develop a joint business venture together.
